Coaching vs Therapy
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker who also likes to do coaching. There is a link that describes the primary differences below. I keep these two separate, but I must talk about them together. I can be your therapist or a life coach, but I cannot do both. I will do an assessment/evaluation for each client and determine which would be a better fit. If I think a client needs therapy, I will refer you to someone. If you are in Tn or Ar; I can see you in the agency in which I am employed. I reserve the right to decide based on the assessment/evaluation whether or not to take you on as a coaching client. It is possible to have a life coach and a therapist; they cannot be the same person. I do not accept health insurance for coaching; however; the price of coaching is comparable to a copay. My decisions are always integrity-based and what I feel is in the best interest of the client. :)
